Above is the final product, with the step-by-step process below.
The process of this piece was really fun to try, I added pieces of newspaper to it just to see what would happen really. I used a ruler to scrape paint across my sketchbook in a similar way to Alex Kuznetsov, with every step, I didn't really know where it was going at the start, but I trusted the process and was left with something myself and others really love.
This is, I believe, the very first piece of wet media I ever created. There is clearly no rhyme or reason to... anything here, just different colours of acrylic paint thrown on some paper. I closed my sketchbook while the paint was still wet, unsure of what it would look like when I opened it again, but I was surprised to see the colours blended together so beautifully and different textures.
This piece holds a lot of sentimental value, it was one of the very first pieces of experimental work I did in this kind of style.
I made this for my "Evolution" unit of work where I had to experiment with... everything (hense the 'EXPERIMENTUM' along the right side) and I really went all out with trying new things; I incorporated glitter, that I later regretted, but I'm glad I tried it. If I never tried, I never would have known how difficult glitter can be to use.
I really like how the purple streak in the centre sort of looks like a dinosaur, it's just a fun little detail that I absolutely adore.
